Many auto and truck owners get frustrated when paint damage occurs. There are so many forms of this frustration that you could literally write a book about the issue. Unless you never drive your vehicle, and you keep it in a garage continuously it is bound to suffer paint sooner or later. UV rays within everyday sunlight will fade your vehicle’s paint over time. The degrading of your rides paint happens gradually, and it is hard to notice with daily inspections. It’s more easily noticeable when looking through pictures taken a year or so apart. Bugs and birds are one of those forms and are clearly impossible to avoid as you drive down the road. They smash themselves all over your car or truck especially at higher speeds. If left unattended they can cause paint damage because many of their bodily fluids are mildly acidic. The acid degrades the paint slowly and often can cause tiny little nicks in your lovely paint job too. Ceramic coating can help protect your vehicles paint and therefore is one way to protect against these little critters.
Stones and other road debris gets airborne from trucks and other vehicles as they cruise down the road. This is especially true at higher speeds. Stay back from trucks that have a sign that says, “Not responsible for broken wind shields”. This is clearly a warning that you should get your attention. Scratches from other people is the most frustrating part of parking in open parking lots of restaurants, malls, big box stores, and grocery stores. some of these scratches and not accidental which really upsets me.
